Terms of Service

1. The service

RankSites is an SEO automation engine. For each site you add it runs, on a schedule, until you stop it: technical audits of your public pages (day 1 and day 15 of each 30-day cycle), AI-written blog drafts on your chosen keywords, a white-hat backlink pipeline that suggests targets and writes outreach drafts, Google rank checks, and, if you connect it, Google Analytics 4 traffic in the dashboard.

The engine drafts and tracks. You review and publish content, you send outreach and place links, and you decide which suggestions to act on. Work is organized in 30-day cycles. You can pause or stop a site’s campaign at any time from the dashboard; cadence changes apply from the next cycle, writing changes apply to the next draft.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18, or using the service on behalf of a business that has authorized you. Keep your credentials private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Only add sites you own or are authorized to promote.

3. Billing

• The price is $9.99 per site per month, for 1 to 50 sites, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. We never see your card number.
• You can change the number of site slots at any time in the Stripe billing portal. Changes are prorated for the remainder of the billing period.
• Cancel at any time; the subscription ends at the close of the current billing period and campaigns stop then. Your data stays readable in the dashboard until you delete it.
• No refunds for partial months, except where the law requires one. If a payment fails, campaigns pause until it succeeds.
• We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price change takes effect.

4. AI-generated content

Blog drafts, keyword suggestions, and outreach drafts are generated by an AI model (currently Anthropic’s Claude) from your site, your settings, and public search data. They can be wrong, generic, or unsuitable for your audience. You review every draft before publishing and are responsible for what you publish, including its accuracy, legality, and originality. Drafts are yours to edit, publish, or discard; we claim no rights in them.

5. No ranking guarantees

Search rankings are decided by search engines, not by us. Every projection in the product (weeks to page 1, position curves, expected visits) is an estimate for planning, produced by a model we describe openly on the blog. It is not a promise, a forecast you should rely on for revenue, or a basis for a refund.

6. Backlinks and outreach

We suggest targets where your site legitimately belongs and write the outreach. You send it, and you must follow the target site’s rules and applicable law (including anti-spam law such as CAN-SPAM). Don’t use the drafts for bulk unsolicited email, link schemes, or anything that misrepresents you or your site.

7. Acceptable use

• No illegal content, no sites that deceive users, no malware, no spam networks.
• No scraping, reverse engineering, or reselling the service without written permission.
• No abuse of outreach targets, our processors, or other users.
• We only run white-hat SEO. We may pause campaigns that would require anything else, and suspend accounts that breach these terms.

8. Google Analytics access

Traffic reporting is optional. It works by you adding our service-account email as a Viewer on a GA4 property and pasting the property ID. Access is read-only and limited to the properties you share. Remove the Viewer at any time and access ends immediately.

9. Affiliate program

Affiliates earn 25% of every payment from customers they refer, for as long as those customers stay subscribed, tracked with a 60-day cookie and paid monthly through PromoteKit after the payment clears. Self-referrals aren’t paid, bidding on our brand in paid search isn’t allowed, and coupon-site spam isn’t either. The full program terms are on the affiliates page and form part of these terms for anyone in the program.

10. Your data and ours

You own your site, your content, and the data you give us. We process it to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. The RankSites software, design, and brand are ours.

11. Termination

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard’s account page or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it. Deletion follows the Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimer and limit of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetterTech LLC’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost rankings, traffic, or revenue.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington.
